What we collect, how we use it, and how the local-first workstation keeps your sensitive documents on your device.

Sensitive documents remain on your device when using the local-first workstation. The cloud stores workflow metadata only — status, timestamps, content hashes, and event counters — never the documents themselves.

Data we collect

Account data — name, email, password (stored only as a salted hash), and account status.
Billing data — plan, subscription status, Stress Points balance, and billing events. Card details are handled by our payment processor (Stripe); DLRadar never stores full card numbers.
Usage data — pages viewed, features used, searches, saved properties and clusters, alert rules, and similar product-interaction events used to operate and improve the service.
Technical data — IP address, browser/user agent, and session identifiers used for authentication, security, and abuse prevention.

Local-first workstation

The DLRadar Interface is a desktop application that runs on your machine. Offer letters, financials, scans, seller information, and notes are stored and processed locally. There is no document-upload step.

Stays local — document contents, file bytes, and any personally identifying material you add to a deal.
Syncs to cloud — workflow metadata only: status, timestamps, cryptographic content hashes, and event counters used to coordinate your workflow. The platform can confirm a file is unchanged without ever holding the file or its contents.

Cookies and analytics

We use cookies that are necessary to keep you signed in and to operate the service (for example, a session cookie and subscription/role flags). We may use privacy-respecting product analytics to understand feature usage in aggregate. We do not sell your personal data.

How we use data

To provide, secure, and operate the platform and your account.
To process billing and manage your subscription and Stress Points.
To communicate service, billing, and support messages.
To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and security issues.

Data retention and deletion

We retain account, billing, and usage data for as long as your account is active and as required for legal, accounting, and security purposes. To request deletion of your account and associated personal data, email support@dlradar.com or use our contact page and select “Privacy request.” We will process verified requests within a reasonable time, subject to legal retention obligations.

Public data

Much of the intelligence on DLRadar is derived from public datasets and public records. Public data remains the property of its respective source agencies and jurisdictions and is used for informational and research purposes.

Personal information about third parties in our data

DLRadar processes limited personal information about people who are not our users because it appears in public records: property-owner names and mailing addresses from assessor and recorder files, licensee names, license numbers, and business addresses from state licensing boards, and lender and officer names from regulatory filings. We process it to compile research datasets and directories for our customers’ own lawful business use. We do not combine it with consumer credit, employment, or tenancy data and we do not sell it as a consumer report. A person who appears in our data may ask us to correct or remove a record about them (see Contact below); we will verify the request and respond within a reasonable time, subject to our need to keep an accurate record of public filings.

Advertising and analytics

We use Google Analytics, Google Ads conversion measurement, and the Meta pixel on public pages to measure how visitors find and use the site. These services set cookies or similar identifiers and may be treated as “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law. We honor the Global Privacy Control signal and the opt-out on our Do Not Sell or Share page; when either is set, those tags do not load. See the cookie policy.

Retention

Account and usage data: while your account is active and for 24 months after closure, unless a longer period is required by law.
Billing records and payment agreements: 7 years, for tax and accounting purposes.
Terms-acceptance records: for the life of the account and 5 years after, as evidence of the agreement.
Security and access logs: 13 months.
Public-record datasets: retained as research archives; corrected or removed on verified request as described above.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (including California and other U.S. states with privacy laws), you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to access it, to correct it, to delete it, to opt out of sale or sharing, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. Submit a request by email or through our contact page; we verify requests and respond within the time the applicable law requires. You may use an authorized agent where the law allows.

Children

DLRadar is a professional tool for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
